1
National Night Out Nanjemoy Community Center
For more than 15 years, I have partnered with the Nanjemoy Community Center to provide over 200 backpacks and essential school supplies each year, ensuring local students start the school year prepared and supported.

Turkey Giveaway Program
For the past 25 years, I have partnered with Steve Proctor and Children’s Aid to distribute turkeys to individuals and families experiencing need. This effort has supported organizations and communities such as Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Brawner's Manor, Bryans Road, Indian Head Elementary School, Metropolitan Church, and many other households throughout the area.

Yearly Camp
For five years prior to COVID‑19, as President of the Western Charles County Community Association, I partnered with Lions Camp Merrick to ensure that 50 children each year had the opportunity to attend summer camp. Our program provided everything they needed — clothing, hygiene items, and transportation — so that cost was never a barrier.
The children, selected by their schools as 4th and 5th graders who would benefit from a camp experience, came from Mt. Hope Elementary, Gail Bailey Elementary, J.C. Parks Elementary, and Indian Head Elementary School.
During their time at camp, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs also supported the program by providing free game tickets, food, and drinks, giving the children an additional memorable experience. At that time, Heidi Fick served as the camp director.

Food Banks
For more than 25 years, we have continued to support families in need by providing food to numerous food banks and households throughout the community. This ongoing effort has helped ensure that individuals and families facing hardship have access to essential resources year after year.
